Of course the singular strip can be justified: the glory and joy of the Olympics is universal and infectious, your eyes cannot look away. But given our cybermessenger trying to watch the first few minutes of the opening ceremony from a lounge room in Europe (which would be at late night hours), it's a struggle to stay awake. Poor Twipsy, let's hope someone gives him a blanket.
